The New Forest in autumn is bursting with colour and is a photographic heaven
Woodland photography is the area that I get the most messages about as it is often very difficult to capture the beauty of the forest or woodland. How we see a scene is very different to how the camera captures a small part of it. The chaos of the woods is a hard thing to deal with.
On this half day workshop (dawn til lunch) I will guide a small group of 3 to the depths of the New Forest and explain how best to capture the feelings of the woodland landscape within your camera and hopefully have a fun day walking, talking and exploring nature.
I have the following dates set:
Saturday 6th February 2021- POSTPONED DUE TO COVID
Sunday 7th February 2021- POSTPONED DUE TO COVID
In this new covid19 world we will base ourselves in one area of the New Forest so that we dont have to be squashed into one form of transport and then walk during the day to various locations to see the beauty of late winter. We will stop mid morning for a cuppa so bring a mug and your favourite brew.
A reasonable level of fitness will be desireable as we will walk a reasonable distance but the terrain isnt too hilly or rocky. It may well be muddy though !
As with all outdoor workshops in the UK the weather has a habit of being unpredictable so it would be worth bringing waterproofs, walking boots/wellies and cold weather gear.. as well as food and drink for our picnic ! Bad weather isn't always a bad thing for photography as the best light exists in and around these conditions but if the conditions are due to be terrible or dangerous then we will agree to re-arrange.
The workshop runs from around 6.30am til 1pm to allow plenty of time to learn and put into practice new techniques and have some fun doing it exploring this area.
Places are limited to 3 at a cost of £120 each
Parking is available on site (free) and full details of this will be supplied prior to the date.
